Dr Galit Haviv-Thomas is a trained, and highly experienced, Systemic Family Psychotherapist. Galit works with individuals, couples and families to improve family dynamics, relationships, and the wellbeing of family members. She helps individuals, couples, parents, children, and siblings deal with the relationship challenges facing them.
Galit works with couples in all stages of their relationship. For example, couples without children, parents with new born children, parents struggling to deal with teenage children, and those experiencing the empty-nest syndrome. She uses Emotional Focussed Couple Therapy (EFT) and uses this to help couples reconnect. She also has extensive experience working with couples going through divorce and the impact of this on their children.
Galit enjoys working with children of all ages. She focuses on creating rapport and giving the children space to talk about their issues.
Previously, Galit ran a therapeutic parenting service within the NHS in London, supporting parents and children who are experiencing particular challenges in their relationship, and teenagers who are misusing or affected by parental misuse of substances and the impact of mental health.
